JULY 2026 Activity Details - Friday, general meeting and AGM, and the Sunday outing to private property at Goombungee

CLUB MEETING: 
7 pm on Friday, 7 August 2026 at St. Anthony’s Community Centre, Memory Street, Toowoomba. 
General Meeting before the AGM.

CLUB OUTING
Date: Sunday, 9 August 2026

Meeting Time: 8.30 am

Where: Bottle Tree Park in the main street (Mocatta St), Goombungee. Meet at the park and travel north together. 

Description: This stony, rocky sandstone property has many attractive natural features beyond the abundant flora which we hope will be in flower when we visit. The large variety of acacias currently flowering stand out from every view point. A deep gorge cuts across one end of the property. 

Activities: There are multiple interconnected buggy tracks to be walked with individuals able to choose longer or shorter walks. 

Level of Fitness: Scale of difficulty -   Level 2 – Level 3. (Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Tracks may have short steep sections, and/or a rough surface.) A walking pole is  suggested if inclined.

What to Bring: ‘smoko’, lunch, water, sun protection and covered footwear.
