| The Toowoomba Field Naturalists on an early outing |
This is also a good opportunity for our
members to invite any known past active members or local identities with a
natural history interest – it is open to all. Bring along a friend and enjoy
the day.
Date: Sunday 6 September.
Meeting Time: 9.30 am.
Where: Crows Nest National Park, camping area.
Description: The day will begin with ‘boiling the billy’. Permission has been obtained from National Parks for us to use a fire-pit in the camping area as none are provided in the day picnic area. Please bring some firewood if you have any available. Some members have offered to bring damper; more will be welcomed.
Activities: After morning tea, walks along the creek, and to the 20-metre waterfall can be made.
Level of Fitness: National Park walking tracks, clambering around the creek (optional).
Facilities: fireplace, toilets.
What to Bring: suitable clothing and closed footwear for walking in the bush, morning tea, and a chair in case there's not enough seating at the campsite.
